This Omnibus contains three most acclaimed works of Kahlil Gibran, the twentieth-century Lebanese-American philosophical essayist, novelist, mystical poet and artist.

The Prophet, which is considered to be Gibran's masterpiece, speaks of the yearning for unity within us all. Through a series of wonderful collection of stimulating and uplifting poetic essays, he teaches us that only through Love can we truly achieve that unity.

The Broken Wings tells the tale of a young man who falls in love with a woman betrothed to the nephew of a leading churchman. When their clandestine meetings are exposed, she is imprisoned within the confines of her house and their splendid dreams are thwarted by a heartless society. This tale of doomed passion is based on Gibran's own personal experience and described with a sharp eye and eloquent pen. Tears and laughter is a compilation of short articles from those published in Al-Mohejar newspaper from 1904. Gibran's philosophy enshrined in these passages makes us explore the conflict and violence within Life and Ego and aims to awaken the spiritual consciousness that is inherent in all of us.
